All I have to say is don’t let it get in the way of doing the right thing.  You say that you don’t kill people any more, but not stopping someone who does because you’re friends with them, well it’s the same thing as killing those people yourself.

You claim to have a soul. How does planning your defense around slaughtering those who have been victimized make you any better than us? Or are you one of the ‘corrupted’?

First of all. Your “we want to coexist” act doesn’t fool me. I can’t be the only person who sees this as an obvious scheme to have humankind served up to you on a silver platter. I refuse to believe people are that stupid and I refuse to be treated like another one of the people who will swallow your bullshit! It’s not happening. I know better. Just because you didn’t chose to be evil doesn’t make you any less evil. You and your kind haven’t been “victimized”. 

I do what I have to do because I know I’m right.

I wasn’t pointing at a ‘we want to coexist’ act in my response, Ms. Summers. I was pointing out that you are guilty of what you blame us for; a seemingly blind need to destroy. Someone with your mindset could never be convinced that humans and vampires could exist together, and I wouldn’t be fool enough to waste my time with that thought. If I can’t even make you see that you are what you want to rid from the world, then obviously I can not hope that we could have meaningful dialogue.

I don’t destroy vampires blindly, if you knew anything about me or my history you’d know that.

Vampires and humans already exist together. It’s a toxic relationship where vampires see humans as weak fodder for them to take advantage of and throw away, whether or not the human lives or dies. If I didn’t care so much about this world I would say “Sure, us slayers can just leave. That way humankind can be left defenseless to learn for themselves that they need us for a whole slew of things they weren’t even aware existed.” But I do care and I know if we just stopped what we were doing the world would probably end up being overtaken by some hell dimension and we’d all end up dead.

I hate to break it to you, but there are worse things out there than vampires and I still have to fight them. I’m through wasting my time trying to defend myself to you. You don’t deserve my attention any longer.

Yeah, I guess this whole media craze thing isn’t helping with the slaying. I mean, I saved the girl…you could have just probably made her dust and not have gotten your favorite blouse ripped because you’ve got that whole super strength thing going for you. 

We do the best with what we’re given. At least you did save her! I’m sorry about your blouse, being the great dresser that you are I’m sure it was a true shame to see it damaged.
