Buffy: Well do you have any other suggestions or plans?
Buffy: I’m being serious.
Spike: You be the government’s pawn all you want.
Spike: But the point of a pawn is that there’s, like, twelve of ’em.
Buffy: I don’t want to. I have to. Just so you know.
Buffy: But Faith can’t register, like literally can’t. That’d be turning herself in.
Buffy: And none of the others are going to want to. They have to be free so they can actually do good in the world.

Buffy: Willow says they might be leaving if people find out who Faith is.
Buffy: I can’t blame them.
Buffy: Nobody can find out about Faith, especially not the government.
Buffy: I don’t have to fight alone if she stays, but I’m registering alone.
Spike: You’re an idiot.
Buffy: Well do you have any other suggestions or plans?
Buffy: I’m being serious.

Buffy: I’m the only one that even stands a chance or surviving that.
Spike: At least let Faith shoulder it.
Spike: She’s ten times a wreck right now, but she’ll get above it.

Spike: No one’s sayin’ you’ve got to stop.
Spike: But your witch did that spell for a reason.
Buffy: I can’t let them. I just can’t.

Spike: And you’ll go back to fightin’ the forces all on your lonesome.
Buffy: I won’t be alone though. I have my people. That’s what makes me different.

Buffy: What’s there to convince? This is how it is, I do what I have to do.
Buffy: I may not end up okay, but the world will. And I’m okay with that.
Spike: Well, that’s a damn shame, ’cause I’m not.
Buffy: It’s shameful to want to do the right thing? To protect the people that had the weight of the world thrust upon their shoulders because of me? You’re against it and I haven’t even told you my plan.
Buffy: This is what I do. It’s all I know. It’s who I am. I’m nothing if not this.
