For someone who seems like she likes giving others a second chance, I almost find it amusing that you won’t do the same for the government. Especially considering how much good it does on a daily basis.

I’m not saying it doesn’t do good with what it does. There are just some things it shouldn’t do. I’ve experienced the government’s attempt at making order of the chaos that is the supernatural world and it was a brilliant failure by any measure.

Admittedly I see little point in immortality if you’re not the one living it. Actually, out of curiosity, do you know how many vampires are turned willingly and with all knowledge of what occurs? Might make for a worthwhile question to ask.

It’s not like you aren’t the one living it, you’re just living it without the consience, morality, mercy, and empathy that makes you human. Some people’s souls are already so warped and evil that losing their soul does little to change them. For those type of people, there is no catch. Except for the fact that you put yourself in a great amount of danger when you decide to kill innocent people for the kicks and giggles. 

[pm] There isn’t, but that’s about to change. And fast. Perhaps in the past it hasn’t work, but there’s now no choice but to make it. The law will adapt and survive, in the end it will be for the best. Your world might have its own rules, but people end up dead with them. The two need to come together, or we’ll all just get caught in the storm.

[Pm] People will already end up dead, Leslie. They do all the time. The law is supposed to uphold justice, but from my experience it only hinders it where the supernatural is involved.

You’re certain you’re not some sort of fictional superhero, right? Generally the only kind of person who actually believes that isn’t real. It’s not bad just… Difficult to comprehend.

Trust me, it’s definitely real. I know because there have been millions of times I wished it was all just a dream, this world saving business. But it never is. You’re living in a really supernatural area, you might as well get used to stuff that’s difficult to comprehend.

And you doubt that? I’m wounded. Look at me, I’m bleeding all over the place. I’m not sure why your name is supposed to mean something or why you’re the authority for slaying vampires, but I’m not under your authority. I’m out there for my own reason

Well, in my defense I can’t know you’re bleeding through a computer.  And I’m not the authority, I’ve just been doing it for a really long time.  I’m not trying to control you and your new found powers, I was trying to find out if you’re one of the good guys or one of the bad guys.  It’s my job to fight evil, not just vampires. And if you’re evil, I’m gonna do whatever I can to stop you. Whether you like it or not.
