Would you chew my head off if I said yeah?

All I have to say is don’t let it get in the way of doing the right thing.  You say that you don’t kill people any more, but not stopping someone who does because you’re friends with them, well it’s the same thing as killing those people yourself.

[pm] Yeah, already got that. I know that and she knows that. I could go for a real lowblow with you now— the whole Spike biz— but I’d like to think I’ve grown. Don’t wreck yourself though, my head’s clear.

[pm] I think mentioning what lowblow in particular you would have gone for sort of cancels out the whole not going for it… But don’t worry, I’m not wrecked. By the time I even gave Spike the light of day he wasn’t even capable of being a menace to society (which your Eifa is fully willing and wanting to do). I know why I did what I did and I don’t really care why you did what you did. All I care about is what you do now. I’m trying to be a good person here, I want be able to give you a second chance just like everyone else seems to have done so easily.

[pm] I may be a do-gooder but even I know when it’s the right time to bend the rules a little.  Giles definitely cannot know about this. But maybe Wesley can get them to lend it to us?

[pm] Well maybe someone with more experience than we have could do it. If Giles found out either of us were involved in something like this, he wouldn’t approve at all. For some reason I don’t think he’d advocate stealing, even if it were to save his life.
