[pm] Thank you, Penelope. It means a lot. I never got to thank you for the book you gave me at Christmas. I haven’t gotten a book since I was a kid. I really like it so far, I’m on chapter two.

[pm] And I suppose you’re going to refuse to find out in advance? Ms. Summers, the last thing the cause needs is to lose a young woman as strong as you. Barring any obvious shortcomings in our blood types, I will do this.
[pm] How do you expect me to live with myself if I let you go in my place? I’m not the person that lets others do what I can do myself, not when their life is on the line.
[pm] I don’t suppose you know your blood type off the top of your head, do you?
[pm] Does this by any chance have to do with your plan to go in as me? I’m 98% sure that a glamour only works on your looks, not the stuff that flows through your veins.
I don’t know it anyways.

And I am sure you are all the better of it and, by extension, the world as well. I’ve no doubt she is proud of you.
Thank you. I like to think my mother is still making the world a better place though she’s gone, even if it’s only through me.

She’s lovely, Ms. Summers. She must have been a great woman as well.
She was beautiful outside and in. I couldn’t be prouder of the days I look in the mirror and see her face reflected in mine. Everything I am today comes from her. There are things I still do today and will always do because of her.

[pm] Good heavens, I certainly hope it doesn’t come to that. Is there nothing to be done, waiting aside?
[pm] I didn’t mean to make it seem like this situation specifically would end in death, it probably won’t. I just meant that our lives in general pretty much hang on a thread. Not that dying means much anymore, I haven’t found a way to stay dead yet. But anyways, no there’s not much to be done. Apparently the deadline is a week. We’ll see what goes down after that. Hopefully this will all calm down.
fairfax-for-the-greater-good replied to your post: [pm] I’ve noticed quite the commotion around your end lately. I thought I might how you were holding up.
[pm] You needn’t always be fine, Ms. Summers. But I am glad that you are managing well. I’m not privy to the details, but if there’s anything I can do for you or those more deeply involved, please let me know.
[pm] I know I don’t have to, but it’s better if I am. And I really am fine. It’s common twenty-something drama made all the worse by supernatural stuff. If none of us had powers, our lives would be some sort of ridiculous soap opera. But we do have powers, so I’m just glad none of us are dying or anything because that is a real option.

[pm] It’s not really about me. But I’m doing alright. Just trucking along as usual. That’s really… It’s really nice of you to ask. I’m fine.

[pm] So respond in kind. Craft your words the way he does his, point out the faults with calm or even smugness. I am not at all suggesting that we let him run rampant with his soured pretty words.
[pm] I thought I was.

[pm] Mind yourself carefully all the same. He seems to be rather fond of playing with rhetoric. Grand statements can be fodder to him.
[pm] I know. But I can’t let the things he says go un-responded to. It’s all a bunch of lies, he’s twisting the truth so that he seems right. I can’t just let him say it.
