Thanks Xander, I just keep thinking it wont be enough. That people wont listen. But if just a few people out there changes their minds… Well that’s something at least.
I think I still have my Scoobie hat somewhere. I would be honored to stand by you again Buffy. I-I know things might look really bleak right now, but I still remember … w-what can’t we face if we’re together?
They certainly do look bleak, but I think getting the group back together (whatever our differences might be) will certainly give us a better chance. I think someone like you, who’s actually a part of the supernatural has a voice the public might listen to, you know?
[pm] Did you have anyone in mind, my dear?
[pm] I don’t really keep a lot of lawuees as my friends. They dont really seem to understand why its better for the law to stay out of these matters. But, if the crooked lawyers that the vampires have are planning on trying to make some sort of law to stop us from being able to kill the things that go bump in the night, we need somebody who can fight it. There’s got to be a lawyer somewhere willing to stand up for the human race.
[pm] You are most welcome. If you come up with any ideas of your own, you know how to contact me.
[Pm] Well I have something, its not so much an idea as its a truth I’ve realised. As much as I don’t believe that the law or government should have a place in supernatural affairs, there’s one thing we’ll need if we want to win this. A lawyer. What is it they say: fight fire with fire?
Hey Buffy. I know we haven’t talked much but, I just wanted to let you know that I support you 100 per cent.
Thank you Tara, I think we’re on the verge of something big here. In fact I know it, if the good guys are going to come out on top, we’ll have to stand together. Like old times, its the only way I can see the world as we know it coming out relatively the same.
[pm] You should weigh your words carefully, and try to show your conviction without becoming too emotionally compromised, but make sure your stance is clear as well. You are a great young woman, Ms. Summers, I have every confidence the public will be able to see that. If you would like any further assistance in this, or merely someone to stand by your side, it will be my privilege and honour to oblige.
[Pm] Thank you for that, I think all of us who fight for this cause are going to have to stand together.
[pm] Composing a statement of your own certainly wouldn’t hurt. You are the general of the Slayer operations. You are the most recognizable of us all. When you speak, people will listen. And perhaps a few well-positioned reporters will be among them.
[Pm] I can do that. It should be all diplomatic like you said before, correct?
[pm] There is yet still time. I am working with Rupert and a Mr. Henson to compile enough documentation to turn sympathies away from the monsters. But I believe there is much you can do as well.
[Pm] I’m open to any and all ideas. I’ve been doing this for so long, but I’ve never felt quite this helpless. What can I do? I’d be willing to do just about anything, you know within the confines of being morally for the good of humankind and all that…
[pm] Hello, Ms. Summers. Our mutual friend said you were willing to speak with me.
[pm] Giles? He was right, I’m willing to talk. Maybe then something can be done about this. I saw what you wrote in the paper, now if only people will listen and take it seriously. To be honest with you, for the first time, I’m scared I wont be able to fix this.
